Song of the Day "Livin' the Dream"

Today's song of the day belongs to Alabama's Drake White and his song "Livin' the Dream".
Born in Hokes Bluff Alabama, Drake got his first taste of performing music when he was a young boy singing in his church's choir. At the age of 14, Drake began to writing his own songs. Drake attended Gadsden Community College and the Auburn University where he earned a degree in Building Science.
After college, Drake worked in Nashville, Tennessee  as a general contractor untill he quit to persue a career in music

I first heard Drake White when he opened up for Little Big Town at the Greensboro Colleseum.
Not knowing what to expect from Drake, I was quite shocked when I heard him.
His voice is amazing live. Even with only playing half the stadium, his voice carried very well. He  also has a great presence on stage jamming away on his guitar. The song that really hooked me was his older single called "Simple Life" which is about not needing the flashy things in life and in Drakes words "I aint no suit and tie. Lord I wasn't cut out for that type of living."

Drake White will be playing in the big leagues when he gets to open on select dates for the great Zac Brown Band.

The new single "Livin' the Dream" was first posted on YouTube on December 4th 2015 just in time for the holiday season.

"Livin' the Dream' was written by Nashville Songwriter Hall of Fame member Tom Douglas,
The Cadillac Three member Jaren Johnston, and Grammy winner Luke Laird.
