Song of the Day "Fix"

 

Today's song of the day goes to North Carolina's own Chris Lane. Growing up in North Carolina, Chris was exposed to and influenced by Alan Jackson, George Strait, and Kenny Chesney. Because Chris was born in 1984 and spent his early years in the 90's, which lead to some of his strong R&B influences like Justin Timberlake, Usher, and the Backstreet Boys. Chris has the fortune of being the first and so far only artist on the record label Big Loud Records. Big Loud Records is just one head of the three headed monster which is Big Loud. The other two heads being Big Loud Shirt, which is the publishing company that has such writers as Tyler Hubbard, Brian Kelley (Tyler and Kelley are the front men for a little band called Florida Georgia Line), and Rodney Clawson. And the final head is Big Loud Mountian which is the management portion that manages such acts as Dallas Smith, Chris Lane, and Florida Georgia Line. 

One of the biggest things Chris has going for him is the man who is helping him with his entire career. That man is the Canadian Wizard himself, Joey Moi.

 Joey Moi has mastermind numerous smash hits over his career working with such acts as Florida Georgia Line, Jake Owen, Nickelback, Three Days Grace, ReaLynn, and Owl City. Chris and Joey make a big statement with the first single and title frack from his EP Fix. The single "Fix" highlights Chris' R&B background in this very poppy track that could easy cross over into the pop genre. It is a fun song that is all about wanting to be a girl's habbit that she can't kick. The first line of the chorus is "I'll be your slow grind, that late night, your Walter White high," and any song that makes a Breaking Bad reference is fine by me.
